Silver linings

The beginning of April has shown no sign of spring, or warmer weather, in my corner of the world. Just cold, rain, ice, sleet, and wind. Once again, our beautiful trees have taken a beating. Heavy ice has weighed down their branches, causing widespread damage. Power has been out for days. Some people are stuck in their home, cold, without water, and unable to cook. And the trees themselves stand broken and battered. It’s heartbreaking to see.
